I am very
well-rounded having always had strong curiosities about nature and
having purposefully sought to become a Renaissance man of sorts.
I have Bachelors Degrees in Physics and Art and have done graduate
studies in both subjects and taken many other courses for fun in
the areas of music, mathematics, and engineering.
This is an all encompassing resumé of sorts that applies
to science and technology, computer graphics, and sculptural art.
Science and Technology
I have an absolute passion
for science. I believe the scientific method to be the most enlightening
and empowering invention of humankind. My skills in the area involve:
Strong programming skills ranging from the practical "make
a window with buttons and graphics" to the theoretical modelling
of quantum mechanical interactions
Very hands-on - I prefer to work with tools and build prototype
devices myself
Best at experimental physics - optics, programming, circuitry and
breadboarding, data acquisition methods, vacuum chambers, mechanical
design and construction, computer vision, etc.
Some classes I took in grad school included quantum mechanics, electrodynamics,
computational physics, experimental physics, and a few optics courses
Broad scope and understanding of most areas of science
Great knowledge and intuition for mathematics and physics

Computer Graphics and Games
I love computer graphics.
I sincerely believe that the most talented artists today, for the
most part, work in the games industry. As a programmer, scientist,
fiction writer, and artist, I can appreciate a well-designed and
executed game on every level. Some of these "games" are
incredibly immersive works of genius. My skills in the area involve:
Fluent experience with the most popular CG apps like Photoshop,
Maya, and 3ds Max
Lots of experience with digital tablets
Much experience with modeling, texturing, & creating character
bones, skin weights, & poses
Strong technical understanding of the workings of videogames, as
well as, programming abilities with languages like C++ and maxscript
Much experience programming in OpenGL and some knowledge of DirectX
Many years ago in an
attempt to get a job in the games industry I created a site which
can be seen here.
General Art
Excellent visualization, conceptual, and freehand drawing skills
Several years of experience in sculpture with traditional art studies
Strong knowledge of human and animal anatomy
Many years of sculpting experience in a wide range of materials
(polymer clays, wax, traditional clays, plaster)
Expert with mold making techniques and casting solutions
Years of experience working with building materials such as plastics,
fiberglass, concretes, plasters, metals, and woods
Good understanding of statics and structural supports
